Check out Charlie & Flo's new look website!

Sell with us

Charlie and Flo’s take the hassle out of selling your children’s gently worn, pre-loved clothes.

We sell on your behalf, so all you have to do is drop-off or post your quality clean and ironed clothing and we take care of the rest! See below for address details.

Please have a chat with us ( or 021 2390791) before sending anything. Thanks.

UPDATE: We no longer accept shoes or fleecy/fluffy nightwear or nightwear without the up-to-date labelling, not Cotton On or Farmers brands. See below for more info.

Send us only your best!

Acceptable clothing condition

Charlie & Flo’s sell only premium pre-loved children’s clothing – fantastic quality clothing that is grown out, not worn out. Clothing must be freshly washed and ironed, with all buttons/snaps/zips done up. Charlie & Flo’s sell only good quality brand clothes in the following condition:

  1. Clothes still have their store tags attached.
  2. Clothes show no signs of visible wear.
  3. Clothes are in EXCELLENT condition.

That means we are looking for high quality clothes that are still in fantastic condition - clothes that have been grown out of, not worn out.

By fantastic condition we mean the clothes still look practically new; they show only minor wear and are near perfect. We will not accept clothing with any piling, faded knee patches, missing buttons, broken zippers, wash-fade, rips or tears, items with stains or that have become misshapen.

As your sort through your kids grown out clothing, ask yourself:

  • Is it a good quality brand that is made well?
  • is it new / gently worn and in fantastic condition?
  • would you be happy to receive the item as a gift for your child?

If the answer to any of these questions is a no, then it's probably not right for Charlie & Flo's.

Items must be freshly washed and ironed, with all buttons/snaps/zips done up. It’s helpful if you can attach items from sets together. For some top tips on how to get more of your clothing accepted for sale, check out our blog post called "Top tips to get your kids clothing accepted to sell."

We're happy to accept nightwear that complies with the current labelling standards. This means we do not accept nightwear that is made of fleece, towelling or other fluffy material, or items that do not have the current labels. See below for more info.

We are also no longer accepting shoes.

Brands we accept

We accept lots of great quality children's clothing labels - too many to list them all but including Ralph Lauren, Country Road, Papoose, Calvin Klein, Joules, Rock Your Baby, Minti, and SOOKIbaby.

We also sell everyday brands like Charlie & Me, Pumpkin Patch, Next, Mothercare and Gap, but only if they are in excellent condition.

Brands we DO NOT accept

We do not accept clothing from Cotton On, Farmers, The Warehouse, K-Mart, T&T Children's Wear, H&M and other similar brands, such as Matalan and Primark in the UK. These items tend to be cheaply made and of lesser quality.

How does it work?

Once we’ve received your kid’s gently worn clothing, we'll take care of the rest. We photograph each piece, code them so we know what belongs to whom, and then list them on our website. We’ll send you a spreadsheet showing all your items and the price we have listed them for.

When your items sell, getting your cash is simple - we pay you once a quarter - in Mach, June, September & December - straight into your bank account. We also send you an email to let you know you’ve got a little something heading your way. We pass you back 50% of the selling price of the item in cash. If you'd be interested in receiving 60% back in the form of store credit, please ask us as that can easily be arranged.

Although we are primarily an online store, we are starting to do a few pop-up stalls/markets etc so your clothes may also be sold in person at events like these. Clothes are tracked using their unique codes assigned to them by us.

Please click on the link below to review the terms & conditions. Once you have agreed to them, you can continue with the form so that we have your contact details, and most importantly your bank details for your earnings!

Where do I send my clothes?

Please make contact with us first before posting or dropping anything off. We have moved so have a new address for posting.

Drop off points in Hamilton or Auckland are available. You can contact Donna on 021 239 0791 or at to arrange drop-off.

What happens if my clothes aren’t suitable to be listed?

We know what a big chore it is sorting through your kids clothes. If you’ve followed the above guidance on what we accept (and read the blog post) then all of your clothes will be perfect for us. Anything that isn’t will either be returned to you at your cost, or donated to one of our local charity partners. You can choose which option you prefer when you complete the seller's contact form.

What happens if my clothes don’t sell?

Although we do our best to make your clothes look great for sale, sometimes things just don't sell. Unsold items can either be returned to you at your cost, or they can be donated to one of our local charity partners. You can choose which option you prefer when you complete the seller's contact form.

Product safety standards - children's nightwear

We cannot accept nightwear that does not have the correct labels (either a red or a white one). Please contact us for a full list of what we cannot accept, but generally it's any of the following things without the red of white labels: PJs & nighties, dressing gowns/bathrobes, sleeping bags/sleep sacs, size 3-14 nightwear all-in-ones, size 00-2 all-in-ones made of fleece/towelling/flurry material. All-in-ones can be with or without arms, and with our without legs (sold as 'onesies' on this site). Most all-in-ones size 2 and below are made of knitted material and so do not need a red or white label.

Keep up to date with new listings, special offers and of course, all our top tips.
